Radius is an international Artist-in-Residence and exchange programme designed to enable artists working in the field of visual arts to engage in art research and art production beyond the familiar context of their respective culture and society.
It offers artists the opportunity to exchange ideas, both within the environment of the art institution hosting them, as well as with other participants. Furthermore, the fact of living and working in a different place and another country provides artists with a broader range of experience than could be gained from brief periods of shared project-based work or assembling works and viewpoints at symposia and international group exhibitions.
- Arabic - Danish - German - Polish | By focusing work on the production process, the aim is to generate individual and public space for both internal and external discourse, for drawing as well as crossing boundaries.
In terms of the concluding public response, the broad range of forms in which the results of artistic research can be presented will allow the general public to become involved on a number of different levels. Audiences will be created at the residencies’ host institutions as well as within the Culture Weeks Middle East in Copenhagen, Kiel and Lodz.
